- At the age of 6, I flew my first airplaneThis spark my interest and joy which lead the passion of exploring outside world
- Earned student's pilot license at the age of 16, but interrupted because of Korean war but earned medals and later joined NASA.
- On March 16, 1966 Armstrong being the command pilot of Gemini 9, and David Scott, Complete the first manual space docking maneuver. First time 2 vehicles end up in space. After the docking the rocket thruster malfunction. It forced them to separate Agena and emergency landing on the pacific ocean.
- At July, 16, 1969 Apollo 11 took off from Kennedy Space Center as Neil Armstrong and other abroad. Apollo 11 entered the orbit in July 19. The next day, the Lunar module Eagle manned by Neil Armstrong separated the command module where Collins remained. The eagle later began its descent to the lunar surface. The craft touched down on the southwestern edge of the sea of Tranquility. He then immediately radioed “The eagle has landed”. After a while he opened the hatch of the lunar module, he then stepped of the ladder and known as the person who landed on the moon. Where at the time showing to the TV where millions of people were watching.
- Armstrong resign from NASA in 1971. He stop being a public figure and became a professor in University of Cincinnati. After 1979 he became a director of a certain company. He also served on the National Commission on Space. he was awarded with the Presidential Medal of Freedom in 1969. The congressional Space Medal of Honor in 1978, and the Congressional Gold Medal 2009.
