Hi there y'all! My names Callie the crab! I'm so excited to meet you and take you on a journey. Today we will be learning all about this interesting cycle called the Carbon Cycle. So get ready for a wild ride, and if your lucky you may even meet some of my salty friends along the way!

So first up on our journey through the carbon cycle is Photosynthesis. Photosynthesis is the process by which plants convert sunlight, carbon dioxide, and water into energy and oxygen. In the stage, Carbon from the atmosphere is absorbed by the animals helping to reduce the levels and oxygen is then released for animals and people to breathe. My friends Sasha and Steward the seaweed help with this process! everyone say hi!

Next up in the carbon cycle is Decomposition. When an animal dies, it falls to the earth and undergoes decomposition. That is with the help of some of my friends like berry the bacteria, snoopy the starfish, and even waldo the worm. They work to break down those remains for their energy. In doing so, carbon is released into the atmosphere continuing the cycle for that carbon to then be absorbed by plants in photosynthesis.

The next part of the cycle is my least favorite as it has the worst impact on our world. Fossil fuels are natural fuels formed by natural processes like animal death/decay. This sounds ok at first but when these fossil fuels are burned for energy to power things like boats, ship, factories, and more the impact on the environment is not so good. The burning releases a lot of carbon dioxide into the atmosphere which is a major greenhouse gas which may lead to global warming which can negativity impact me and my friends.

The last part of the carbon cycle is cellular respiration. This is a process that humans and many animals go through in order to survive. In respiration, organisms take in oxygen from the air, produced by plants from photosynthesis, and then release CO2. This process puts more CO2 into the air but plant then collect that and continue cycling with photosynthesis continuing the carbon cycle. my friends Dolly the dolphin and Wally the whale both use cellular respiration in order to survive

Well thanks so much for coming on this journey through the carbon cycle with me, y'all! Oh before you go, please don't forget the ocean's overall factor in the carbon cycle. The ocean absorbs about 1/3 of the carbon in atmosphere which is sometimes good but if the ocean absorbs too much of the carbon, the ocean's pH could be altered which would impact many organisms who live here. Well, that's all the information on the carbon cycle i have for you! I had a blast! I hope you learned a lot and enjoyed meeting my friends! Bye!!!!
