- In the year 1700 BCE. a man named Abraham lived in Ur, Mesopotamia. At some point according to the Torah, the Jewish bible, Abraham made a covenant. In this agreement Canaan would belong to Abraham's descendants.

- Jacob and his family knew Egypt had fertile soil and was by the Nile River so it seemed like a ethicaldecision to travel to Egypt. Once in Egypt the monotheistic Jews grew in numbers which scared the new Pharaoh. To remove the Israelite's power the Pharaoh turned them into slaves.

- Moses was a Jewish boy who didn't know that he would start the exodus and hold in his hands the 10 commandments. His life changed when his mom left in the Nile River to keep him safe. He was then adopted by the Pharaoh. One day god told him to ask the Pharaoh to let his people go. The Pharaoh just laughed and said no...

- Moses gave the Pharaoh a warning that god would punish his people and land if didn't set the Jews free, the Pharaoh just sent him off. God was so furious that he sent 9 punishments to Egypt and its people. After each plague Moses asked for the Pharaoh to let his people go, the Pharaoh refused. God was tired of the mortal and sent the angle of death to kill every first child, he also told the Jews to put lambs blood on there doors so the couldn't be hurt. After this the Pharaoh let them leave. This also sparked a Jewish holiday called passover.
- Once the Realities had been walking for miles Moses stopped at Mount Sinai. He stood at the top with a piece of rock while storm formed. Lighting sent by god struck the rock 10 time carving in the 10 commandments. Many religions other than Judaism follow these rules in their day to day life making these 10 rules insanely important to lots of people.
- After escaping Egypt the were guided by Moses to the Promise Land. Sadly Moses died before they could make it so a man named Joshua took his place and lead them to the Promise Land which back then was Canaan and now-a-days is Israel. Once they made they had to conquer land. The first colony they conquered was Jericho. They conquered these lands by using a tactic called gorilla warfare. After this the tribes of Jacob spread apart to form Israel
