  • I understand, may I look and feel your arms?
  • One day, Tanner was working out and his arms began to hurt...
  • Wow, my arm really hurts. I should go to the doctor.
  • Yes, you can.
  • What seems to be the problem?
  • It appears to me that you are experiencing muscle cramps.
  • What are muscle cramps?
  • My arm is in a lot of pain, especially when I move it.
  • The next day, Tanner went to the doctor so he could figure out what was wrong with his arm.
  • Muscle cramps are caused by failure of the neuromuscular system. Muscle cramps happen because of hyperactive nerves that react to fatigue, dehydration, salt loss, etc. The muscle responds to the signal that the nerve sends causing contractions, this is where the system fails.
  • The pain you're feeling is a symptom of muscle cramps, some other symptoms could be muscle tightness or muscle spasms.
  • Muscle cramps are sudden contractions of the muscles that can feel painful, they can be caused by dehydration or overuse of a muscle.
  • What happened with my muscular system that allowed this to happen?
  • Treatment is very simple; I would start off with stretching more, drinking more water, and lightly massaging the areas where you feel pain.
  • Of course! I'm glad I could help.
  • How do I treat my muscle cramps?
  • Thanks for helping me out doc, I really appreciate it!
