Storyboard Text

  • Hey Alex! Science class yesterday was hard right?
  • Actually yes I do have questions. Can you explain to me Chemical & Mechanical weathering please?
  • Mechanical weatheringis weather that breaks rocks to smaller pieces. It means the rock changes without changing its composition. It steel has the same minerals just different than the regular form.
  • Hey Via! I don't agree, class yesterday was very easy for me.
  • Do you have any questions from the lecture?
  • Erosions & earthquakes are one of the United State's greatest natural selection.
  • Chemical weathering is changing the size of the rock and mechanical does not. It changes it composition. One mineral changes to another mineral.
  • Erosion meansthe process of eroding or being eroded by wind, water, or other natural agents. "the problem of soil erosion". In other words it means crumbling.
  • Anything else I need to know?
  • Yes! You need to understand Erosions from waves. Waves erode sediment from cliffs and gorges.
  • Alex I don't remember what are Glaciers? Can you please explain them to me?
  • Glaciers are giant pieces of ice that they move really really slowly.
  • Next up we have Erosions by Glaciers. It is plucking or abrasion. Plucking is when the ice freezes at the bottom of the glacier and it stays there.
  • Abrasion is when the Glacier scratches the main rock. The bottom of the Glacier acts like a sandpaper. Because all the sediments are frozen in the rock and ice.
  • Nope Alex. Thank you for explaining them to me.
  • Thx you too
  • Aw, no problem. Have a nice day now, ok?
  • Any other questions Via?
