- Hi I'm Amal Abdel-Hakim. I am a Australian-Palestinian-Muslim 16 year old. I'm trying to decide if I want to wear the hijab all of the time.
- So I made a list.
- I know that there are lots of people who will support me but I'm not sure about everybody, there could be a decent amount of people who would be not ok with it.
- And I really want to wear it but I'm scared how people will react
- The people I'm most worried about is the people at my school, McCleans Preparatory. It is predominantly populated by white students and staff.

- When I first came to McCleans she asked me where I lived and said that I probably live for condo money. My head scarf will add to fuel of facially targeted comments
