- This story is set in Maple Street USA. It is a wholesome neighborhood where kids are laughing, and adults talking in friendly manors. There are ice cream vendors and people enjoying nice walks. Everyone seems to get along on Maple Street USA.
- Climax
- All the fun and love goes away when a flash of light that looks like a meteor passes and takes the power out. There is panic and paranoia then among the town. This causes people to blame other for the bad event that occurred and tension rises between the citizens of Maple street.
- Falling Action
- There are lots of accusations and strange things that happen after this. Tommy tells a strange story about something he read in a comic that seems like the situation they are in. Goodman's car turns on by itself, lights are going on by themselves, and people are trying to figure out what is going on.
- Resolution
- The big event in this story is Charlie shooting Pete Van Horn. While trying to be a protective citizen Charlie doesn't realize the dark figure coming out of the shadows is Pete Van Horn and not an Alien. Therefore, he shoots and kills Pete Van Horn which creates more conflict and accusations.
- The falling action here is really the breakdown of the citizens. This is the part where everything goes downhill. Everyone is now against each other accusing anyone that does something out of the ordinary. They also interrogate people and try to make them guilty of being the person behind the madness.
- There is not much of a resolution for the citizens of Maple streets. Although the aliens had a mission and were successful#160;.They Their resolution was the people going against each other. Due to the prejudices of the human race and the suspicion that they put on each other it will cause them to crumble and pretty much self destruct.
