- EXPOSITION
- Ponyboy walks out of the movie theater alone even though he shouldn't because he's a greaser and he could get jumped in which he does by the opposing gang socs. lucky he gets saved by other greasers such as dally, Darry, soda, two bit, and johnny

- CONFLICT
- the real main conflict is between greasers and socs since they are rival gangs and do not like each other.
- Slide: 3
- RISING ACTION
- ponyboy runs from home with Johnny and stops at the park where he gets got by socs including bob and randy which are the boyfriends of two socs girls pony and johnny met and one of them tried drowning pony so johnny saved him by stabbing bob the person drownng pony. bob died
- Slide: 4
- CLIMAX
- the greasers and socs meet at the vacant loot for the big rumble were they all fight and the greasers win by the socs running away.
- Slide: 5
- FALLING ACTION
- johnny got very injured by the burning church and died from it this caused dally to goo on a rampage by robinng a gas station with a gun and because of that goot shot up by the cops resulting in death.

- RESOLUTION
- ponyboy needs to write a story with a theme and he couldn't come up with anything till he thought of telling the story of what happens that week that takes us all the way to the beginning of the story.
