- This is Napoleon Bonaparte.In 1800, he became the First Consul of France.He wanted to win back St. Domingue from the domination of liberated slaves, reimpose slavery and crush the gilded cockroach, Toussaint L'Ouverture.

Although cautioned by his advisors on Toussaint's power, he refused to give in and arranged one of the largest expeditions of Naval and military power with General Le Clerc in command.
