Jon buys a new Ford vehicle and reads FordPass privacy policy before authorizing the modem and start using various available connectivity services. Jon could be an existing customer with authorized modem and location enabled.
3. Channels to Opt-out
FordPass Privacy Policy will explain that users can opt-out either by:Disabling location based services from HMI, which will disable all the location based services. orReaching out to FordPass Guide and requesting disabling the data collection without losing the ability to use other location based services
Jon is an existing or a new Ford customer that has a vehicle equipped with the EyeQ chip set.
4. FordPass Guide
VIN and other details
Jon reads about Ford collection of Road Segment Data from his vehicle and completely understands that there is no PII or any subscription/carrier involved.
5. Ticket Creation
Jon would like to understand more about Road Segment Data or/and opt-out.
6. Customer Notification
Jon reaches out to FordPass customer operations team and FordPass customer ops team will create a ticket.
FordPass Guide team will assign the ticket to respective internal Ford team that will disable the data collection "over the air"
FordPass Guide team will notify the customer through preferred mode of communication (phone, email)
