  • In the case New Jersey V. T.L.O two girls were caught smoking , then sent the Vice principle's office where T.L.O denied smoking although her friend said "We were definitely smoking". With his reasonable suspension the principle search T.L.O's bag and he found....

  • T.L.O sued saying that her 4th amendment rights were violated because the vice principle searched her bag and seized her things without probable cause. Although Students are protected under 4th amendment (illegal search and seizure). In this case school officials have responsibility to safeguard school and must be able to search when necessary.
