  • Hey! Are you ready for the play?? The play starts at 8. The play is about the Columbian Exhange. The play will explain the many resources that were transported from Europe to the Americas.
  • In 1492, the Europeans started trading with the Americas. Many resources got traded such as livestock, sugar, and more.
  • Wow! I didn't know we got our resources like that. I heard that Christopher initially introduced new things to the New world. Thats why its named the Columbian Exchange.
  • Yes! The old world traded corn, livestock, and more into the New World. The new world sent potatoes, cacao beans, and more into the old world.
  • Yes I know! My teacher also told me that the biggest impact from the exchange was that new food and fiber crops were introduced to Africa and it improved diets and formenting trade there.
  • I learned about that too. Are you ready for the play? I hope they add the new ways trading is used now. Trade is increasing now because it is in result of both technological developments and concerted efforts to reduce trade barriers.
  • That sounds great! I can't wait to see how the play is going to unfold the events from the Columbian Exchange trade. I agree, it'd be awesome if they'd show the new trades and how it is so advanced from then to now!
