George was talking about Curley's wife to Lennie because he doesn't want Lennie in trouble with Curely. Also about how his wife is a "whore".

They guys shot Candy's dog and Lennie broke Curley's hand. He broke his hand being pressured into fighting him once Curley started beating him up.
Chapter 6- Death
"Le's do it now. Le's get that place now. ''
Curley's wife was being rude to Crooks and discriminating him because of his race. She's basically saying the other guys shouldn't talk to him and she called him the n word.
'' Stand'in here talking to a n(word) an a dum dum and old sheep cause they aint got nobody else.
This is a disaster because Lennie accidentally killed Curley's wife. He was touching her hair but when she said let go he wouldnt and she went crazy and started yelling. Lennie tried to grab her and shut up her up because he didn't want to get caught by Curley.
George killed Lennie himself, instead of the other guys doing it. He told Lennie about their future and Lennie died thinking about their future ranch.
