- Once upon a time , there was a handsome man named Batara Guru Sahala , who lived in a small village . One day, he went fishing in the river...
- "Hopefully today I got a big fish."

- He immediately pulled the hook after he felt it moved and was surprised when he heard its voice...
- "Wait, don't eat me! I'll stay if you won't eat me."

- Batara was even more surprised when it turned to a beautiful girl.
- "Am I dreaming?"
- "Don't be afraid, I am also a human like you. I owe you because you saved me from the curse."
- Will you marry me!

- The two agreed not to talk about her origin. They got married, and a year later the woman gave birth to a girl.
- "Please be patient of her. She's just a child."

- Batara was very hungry and thirsty was patiently waiting for her daughter to deliver his food and drink but it did not come. He immediately goes back to his house but only to find out that her daughter was playing . He became furious and pinched his daughter's ear.

- After he had spoken those words, both his wife and his son vanished from air without any trace. And at that moment, water suddenly gushed out and is getting heavier making the whole village covered from water. Years later, it was eventually known as the Lake Toba.
