Phew! Thank goodness this is an in class project, I don't have a computer or Internet at home.
Me too! I'm so glad we don't have extra work to do at home!
Alright, everyone! We are going to start our group project for today! Remember, you must do your project over the American Revolution using a form of technology of your choosing! And we are ONLY doing this in class! No need to do this at home! Now, let's head to the computer lab!
Yes! The computer lab! I'm so excited!! And we don't have to do it at home!!
Yeah! Let's get to work! Let's use that website in technology stations -- StoryboardThat!
What should we do for our project?
COMIC STRIP!!
1 week later...
Yeah, guys! We got an A, nice job!!
In the teacher's lounge after school that day...
It went well!
How did you implement it so all of your students could do it? I know many of your students don't have Internet at home.
Hey Sarah! How did the American Revolution tech project go?
First, I made sure everyone had equal access to technology. Every day, we do technology stations and the kids get to experiment with different sites we use! Then, once I felt they were ready, I had them do the project! I also made sure that I only had the kids work on the project in class, so the students who do not have Internet do not have a hurdle to jump through. Because I let them choose the medium of technology to use, they were more engaged in the project and put more effort in!
Oh, I see! I am going to use this in my classroom! Thank you!
