- The Story Of PhaethonBy: Charanae Denton 7²
- Phaethon hadn't really met his father, nor had he seen his fathers dwelling but was always boasting and talking big about about his father, so Phaethon felt ashamed to say a word after his friend had said those words to him.
- Grrrr!
- 'You are a fool who believes everything your mother tells you. You are swollen - headed because you imagine Phoebus is your father when he really isn't your father at all !'
- Phaethon went home to his mother to complain about everything his friend had said and how he wished to prove his friend wrong. His mother then told him about his fathers dwelling hearing these words he set of to find his father
- Is that I with my fierce noble nature had to hold my tongue. What a shame it is that such things could be said and yet could not be proved wrong
- I swear to you,my child, that he whom you know look at,he, the Lord of the world the sun is your father
- Father, promise me that you will allow me to drive your sun chariot.
- Phaethon's father had made a promise to him that he'd give him anything he asked for .Pantheon asked to ride the Sun Chariot but his father begged to choose something different.He had to keep his promise, so he placed Phaethon on the chariot. He warned him to keep in the middle say to prevent earth from been frozen or burn.
- Wh-wh-what!! B-b-but even the immortal gods cannot drive my chariot. How can you, a mortal drive it? A promise is a promise, and I must be true to my word. Follow me, foolish boy!
- Phaethon then lost control of the Sun Chariot which led to the earth's destruction. People started to turn black , crops were now burnt or dry and shriveled and the river in Africa dried up and was turned into the Saraha dessert.
- HELPPP!!!
- The village is on fire. Horses, go up! Up! Up!
- Seeing the destruction of earth zeus sent a lightning bolt which knock ed Phaethon off the Sun Chariot and he died.His body was found by a nymph.He was buried by her.On his tomb stone she wrote Phaethon rode the sun and here's his tomb. His daring was the reason for his doom
