Storyboard Text

  • Heading back to the island, Demos realized what the singing had been. Sirens had been in that cove.
  • Seeing how many sirens there were, Demos formulated a plan.
  • Everyone came to the beach to find out what the loud noise was about. After seeing Demos dripping wet and blowing the conch, a cheer went up!
  • Thank you for killing those monsters! You have release our home from a great burden!
  • Getting back to the island, Demos asked the man who had approached him for weapons. Happily the man gave him spears, swords, and bows and arrows. Feeling like he was prepared, Demos put the gifted wreath on his head and went out to slay the sirens. Sailing extremely close to where the sounds had come from he saw them. There were five sirens playing in the water, singing again. He would have fallen to their song if it had not been for the magical wreath the nymphs had given him.
  • Returning home, Demos told his story to the nymphs. After hearing the story, the nymphs were happy that the boy they had raised had become a great warrior.
  • After it was dark and the sirens were asleep, Demos sailed up to sleeping monsters. Taking his bow, he shot three of them. When the last two woke up and saw what was happening, they dove into the water, dragging Demos with them. Under water, Demos fought with his sword and killed the last two sirens. Coming up for air, Demos climbed into his boat and sailed back to the island. Taking a conch shell he had found, he blew it, awakening the island.
  • Until one day, Demos went one a walk. Seeing some berries that he knew to be edible he ate some.
  • With all of the celebrating, a message was sent to the king telling that the monsters had been killed by a great warrior. Hearing this the king cried out in joy and sent a messenger to bring Demos to him at once. Soon Demos was brought to the king and he gave him great prizes; one of which was to have him marry his daughter. After the celebration had subsided, Demos realized he wished to return home. So packing up his new found belongings, he and his new bride sailed back to Cytherea.
  • The End
  • Demos stayed on the island for the remainder of his life. There he lived to be and old man and have many children. Demos, the nyhpms, and Cressida were all very happy.
  • However, the second he swallowed the berries he began to feel strange and dizzy. Falling over, he died at the top of the hill where the mist covered. After Demos did not come home that night, Cressida and the nymphs went out searching for him. Finding him dead, they all wept over Demos: the boy who learned his gifts from his gift.
