- A lot of popular black markets have been located on the "dark web". Some popular recent black markets found on the web have been "Versus", "Torrez", "AlphaBay", "Kingdom Market", and "Tor2Door". These websites sell things like malware/software, services related to fraud, illegal drugs, counterfeit items, and normal, everyday items. Some of these black market platforms even take forms of Crypto Currency !
- Many of these websites are used for black markets because they focus on anonymity and security. Despite this, they're still not invincible websites. Some of these listed black markets have already been seized and/or shut down by external authorities.
- Websites like Ebay also have black market activity, so you don't always have to search for these illegal markets in order to find them.

- Governments across the globe have attempted to shut down these illegal markets. Some have been more successful than others. Some of these strategies are: increasing law enforcement, implementing new goods services regulations to make trading more difficult...
- Implementing targeted enforcement operations to disrupt certain markets, cooperating with other international governments to stop illegal activities across international borders, and using technology to implement Blockchain technology to prevent I.D. theft, which is a major part of today's online black markets.
