- The animals found out that the windfalls were actually brought t the pigs for their own use and gain. "After finding this out, "the other animals murmmed, but it was no use." After hearing the murmurs, Squealer said....
- Wait! Wait! ""You do not imagine, I hope, that we pigs are doing this in a spirit of selfishness and privilege?"
- Slide: 2
- "Many of us actually dislike milk and apples. I dislkie them myself. Milk and apples contain substances absolutely necessary to the well-being of a pig. The whole management and organisation of this farm depends on us."
- Slide: 3
- "When it was put to them in this light, they had no more to say." Thereby they realized that they did not want to have Jones come back, and the animals "agreed without further argument that the milk and the windfall apples should be reserved for the pigs alone" and went back to their life on the farm.
- "It is for your sake that we drink that milk and eat those apples. Do you know what would happen if we pigs failed our duty? Jones would come back! Yes, Jones would come back! Surely there is no one among you who wants to see Jones come back?"
