Storyboard Text

  •  The majority of cars, trucks, ships, and planes run on fossil fuels. As a result, transportation is a major source of greenhouse gases, particularly carbon dioxide emissions.
  • Food supply emits greenhouse gases into the atmosphere at every stage. Methane and nitrous oxide, two potent greenhouse gases, are released in large quantities by farming.
  • *cough cough*
  • Cutting down forests to make way for farms or pastures, or for other reasons, results in emissions because trees release the carbon they have been storing when they are chopped down
  • Many risks exist, including forest fires, harsh weather, and invasive pests and illnesses. Some species will be able to relocate and survive, while others will be unable to do so.
  • Malaria is spreading as a result of changing weather patterns. Extreme weather events increase disease and death. Increased hunger and poor nutrition are further health problems in places where people cannot grow or find enough food.
  • Deserts are growing in size, lowering the amount of land available for food production. Many people are now at risk of running out of water on a regular basis.
