- Christopher looking through the bin for his book. No sounds except for suspenseful music, up until it stops when he finds that the book isnt in there
- Christopher looking through his father's room for his book, but he finds the letters. Every sound is amplified, from his heartbeat and breathing to every creak in the house
- Christopher running out of Eds room right as Ed gets home. Ed is at the bottom of the stairs looking through the mail, giving christopher a chance to get out before Ed realises Christopher was in his room
- Christopher in his room looking at the letter, considering if he should open it or not. he opens it, and suspenseful music is building until his father opens the door, breaking the music with his voice
- Christopher in the living room watching his TV show. Just a small bit of time in between christopher finding the letters and him fully reading the one he took
- Later on that night, when christopher goes back to his room to read the letter. Sad music plays as he reads the letter, realising his mother could still be alive
