  • Sally woke up this morning t find out there was no more cereal left. She had to eat toast with jam this morning. This made her very sad.
  • Sally's mom reassured Sally that everyone feels sad sometimes, and it's totally ok. she reminds Sally to take a couple deep breathes and reminds her that she can always talk to her or a counselor about her feelings

  • Yes! and that snot all! Our feelings are affected by hormones, tiny chemicals in our bodies. Serotonin helps us feel calm and happy, dopamine makes us feel excited and rewarded, cortisol shows up when we are stressed, adrenaline helps us react quickly when we’re scared, and oxytocin helps us feel close and trust others.
