  • Napoleon Bonaparte was a French military that conquered most of Europe and fight with the United Kingdom. He has won many battles and he was destinated for create strategies for each confrontation
  • Napoleon wanted to vanquish and wrest the power in Egypt because he was interested in the Suez Canal wanted to block and cause a debacle in the Britain's trade route that permeate to India re-establish commerce with the Levant.

  • Napoleon was, as we know, interested and enthralled by the canal in Egypt. Napoleon's tenacity led him to the impetuous decision to conquer Egypt in 1798 with more than 35,000 soldiers and kill a lot of children, women, and men in 1799 in Turkey. He became a well-known hero in France after returning with a victory at the Battle of the Pyramids.
  • On August 1, 1798, at Aboukir Bay near Alexandria, Egypt, the Battle of the Nile began. The conflict was an important tactical naval encounter fought between the British Royal Navy and the French Republic Navy. British Admiral Horatio Nelson's victory in the Battle of the Nile later effectively ended Napoleon's ambitions in Egypt. The British military occupied Egypt in 1882 to protect financial interests in the country, culminating in a violent war. When the British defeated the French in Egypt in 1801, a number of antiquities were ceded in the treaty. The British encroached on many important places in Egypt after conquering it and gained the acquisition of many ancient and oriental artifacts. The British reduced and abated the number of artifacts left in Egypt after they invaded.
