Hey Ali I was reading about Modernism in our history slides. It basically says we should use reason and science to understand the world.
So like, we shouldn’t just accept things because of old traditions or stories?
Exactly. Modernism says we form ideas with logic and evidence, not just do things a certain way because that’s how it’s always been done.
Makes sense. It’s all about asking “why” and checking facts.

My friend said we should follow certain rules just because it’s tradition.
Modernism would question that. It says traditions should match current knowledge and reasoning.
So if something doesn’t make sense today, we can challenge it?
Exactly. Modernism believes progress comes from questioning and improving ideas using reason and science.
