  • How are we supposed to read this bible if it's not even in our language ?
  • How could I learn and understand the bible if It's not in our language? How can we trust what the pope is telling us about the bible ?
  • After Writing the Praise of folly i came to the conclusion of translating the bible into our language to end the corruption.
  • I'm very unhappy with the church's sale of indulgences. Buying indulgences gives the people a false sense of security and endangers their salvation. This is why I took upon myself to write the 95 Theses
  • Some Christians began criticizing church corruptions & questioned the catholic teaching

  • In 1509, Christian humanist Erasmus published Praise of Folly which called for an end of corruption
  • I've created this type printer. Erasmus book spread all around Europe. My new invention has made this book very popular. 
  • Martin Luther wrote a list of arguments against church practices called the "Ninety-Five Theses"
  • We're so excited to see what next for our city and churches. 
  • my purpose is to attempt to get the Roman Catholic Church to stop selling indulgences, or 'get out of hell free' cards

  • As a result Johann Gutenberg's invention of the moveable-type printing press in 1453. Erasmus' book spread throughout Europe & increased calls for church reform
  • The "Ninety-Five Theses" spread quickly through Europe causing and incredible controversy and many people were excited about his ideas .
