- The quote illustrates that Harrison's appearences is weird and full of devices like hard tools. He's been made to be limited and no one has ever been given more serious handicaps. It describes his appearances as scary.
- “The rest of Harrison’s appearance was Halloween and hardware. Nobody had ever born heavier handicaps’” (lines 91)
- Slide: 2
- Hazel is an average person which means her brain is normal. She can do things but she can’t think very deeply or for a long time. George is smarter than Hazel, but he has a special device that helps him talk but stops him from thinking too much.
- “Hazel had a perfectly average intelligence which meant she couldn’t think about anything except in short bursts. And George while his intelligence was above way normal, had a little mental handicap radio in his ear.” ( Lines 9-10)

- Harrison removes the device that is supposed to keep her from thinking. he removes the physical handicaps the government forced her to wear. it shows how Harrison is trying to help people be free and equal.
