- Hey, I'm Y.Hasini and today let's see how Germany, which was a collection of small kingdoms, became unified.
- This is the long history of the unification of the European country, Germany.

- This is Otto Von Bismarck, a courageous leader who had a burning ambition to transform Prussia into a powerful state.
- He brought major reforms into the Prussian army and carried out national movements for unification of Germany.

- Otto Von had laid the foundation of the national unification of Prussia. The military and the monarchy combined to build their nation towards development.Over the course of seven years, three wars, including the Seven Weeks War was fought, among Austria, Denmark and France.
- The Seven Weeks War saw Prussia dealing a heavy blow on Austria and its German allies.

- Through a series of subtle provocation, Bismarck managed to provoke Napoleon III, who was ruling France at that time. the war continued until the fall of Paris to Prussia in January 1871. France were defeated.
- When Bismarck marched the Prussian army towards the French Border, they were joined by armies of the German states.
- On the same day, the new constitution of the German Confederation came into force, extending the federal German lands to the newly created German Empire with Prussia at its leadership.

- The German Empire got declared by Prussia on January 21, 1871. King Wilhelm I of Prussia was crowned at The Palace Of Versailles in France.Germany was now free.
