- In the small parlour of Laburnam Villa the blinds were drawn and the fire burned brightly. Father and son were at chess, and the white-haired old lady knitting placidly by the fire.
- Sergeant-Major Morris telling the family about the magic and what the paw has done for other people and how it can be dangerous and then gives it to the family anyways and then the Mr. White wishes for 200 pounds
- their son had died in the mechine at work and his boss came to tell them the bad news, he then told them they are getting 200 pounds from the accident which is what they wished for just not how they wanted to get it
- Im sorry my son...
- mom! Im here! Im back!
- mrs. white month after their son's death still mourning over it she comes up with her idea to bring back her son and wish for her husband to take him place since she blames him for killing their son
- mrs. white wish with the monkey's paw for her son to come back, and for her husband to die
- mrs. whites son being back and her being sad and sorry for what she has done to her husband. she also regrets using their last wish on something she was not fully confident that she actually wanted since now her husband and she cant wish again since that was their last wish, she is now also going to have to also inform her son of what she did which she now regrets having done what she did. she feels sorry for being mad at mr. white for getting over her son so quick, maybe if she hadn't she would not have wished for him dead
