- Fie! A new tax on sugar. Well that's certainly a drag, as a grocer myself. Good thing I don't solely sell sugar based goods. Nor do I regularly drink rum.

- Another tax?! This new Stamp Act taxes every single thing I sell and buy! What am I going to do? Purchase is what my job is all about.

- I'm starting to get tired of the British always controlling us. They have no right to tax us these amounts. I'll go to the city to find more about this.

- These taxes from Britain must stop!
- It's nice to see that there are others who have the same feelings as me. I won't join them though. I read in the paper that there are officials monitoring the act.
- Down with the Stamp Act! Taxation without representation will not be tolerated!

- Well, there they are. The redcoats have arrived. I think they've come to quiet this protest down.

- Wait a minute, why are these soldiers armed? They surely won't attack, right?

- How will I ever recover after seeing all that? Hopefully the wounded heal soon. Curse the bloody British! Curse those who took innocent lives! Some day there will be a nation where these incidents never happen - the land of the free!
