- Hi! I'm here to learn more about blood, The first question is where is blood made?
- Great question well blood or more specifically blood cells are made in the bone marrow and you may be wondering what bone marrow is, bone marrow is the soft spongy materials in the center of bones
- 2.) What are Red blood cells, what are its jobs and what is the quantity of them.
- 2.) A red blood cell is mostly made of a protein called hemoglobin, Hemoglobin has an important job to pick up oxygen at the lungs and brings it to the rest of the body. RBCs are the most abundant kinds of cells in your blood, and they live up to 120 days. RBCs also look like flattened basketballs
- 1.) Next question, What is Plasma and what are its jobs in our body?
- 1.) Plasma is a yellowish liquid that is about 90% water, it carries nutrients, hormones, and proteins throughout your body. Plasma also carries away cell waste, hormones carry messages throughout your body, telling it what to do and when to do so.
- 1.) What are white blood cells, What are its jobs in our body, and what is the quantity of them?
- 2.) What are Platelets, and what are its jobs in our body?
- 1.) White blood cells are basically the Disease fighters , some of the white blood cells alert the body that it has been invaded, some produce chemicals to fight off invaders , and some surround and kill the organisms. White blood cells are also larger than RBCs.
- 2.)#160; Platelets are fragments that play#160; an important part in forming#160; blood clots when a blood vessel gets cut, they help form a temporary plug in the wound that helps stop the bleeding . Basically the platelet's jobs are to help harden your blood when you get a cut or clot
