- In the beginning...
- RUN, CASTLE!!
- AAH!!
- (Still) In the beginning...
- Lemme guess, one dollar.
- Let me guess, sunflower seeds.
- Sorta near the middle...
- You get one run.
- WHOO HOO!!!!!! GO LU!!! YOU GOT THIS!! YAY!!!
- One fateful night. The sound of a gun cocking. Just run, don't look back. Ghost somehow knew that day that his life would never be the same again.
- In the middle(ish)
- Ever since the day that Ghost's dad shot at him and his mom, Ghost has found comfort in Mr. Charles store. He always buys sunflower seeds there, and just hangs around and talks with Mr. Charles.
- Near the end (sorta...)
- Ghost decided to watch a private practice for a track team. He is watching the newbies run. Patina is fast, but not as fast as Lu. Sunny, a tall, lanky kid runs really slow, but the coach says watch out for him in the mile run. When Lu gets up to race again, Ghost stands up to race him. He nearly beats him, and the coach is shocked enough to ask him to join the team. His mom says yes, so now he is on the team!
- Near the end
- One day, Brandon Simmons, a bully, makes a mean joke about where Ghost lives. Ghost heaves a milk carton at his head and smacks him with a tray. Everyone is yelling, and Ghost just ruined his chance to be on the track team, because just yesterday Coach had said if he makes one, mistake, he is off the team. He was altercation free for 17 hours and 2 minutes. He lies about his coach being his uncle, and when Coach picks him up from school, he makes Ghost run laps/try to beat Usain Bolt's record before practice.
- One day, Ghost decides to go to the local sports shop, Everything Sports. He is looking at a nice pair of shoes that he really wants, but they are SUPER expensive. They are silver with diamonds on the sides, and he decides that he wants to call them his silver bullets. He waits until the store attendant (Tia) is busy with another customer and bolts.

- As a bonding experience, Coach takes all the newbies out to a Chinese Restaurant and does not let them eat their food until they share a secret about them. Lu shares that he wants a brother so he could see what he would look like if he wasn't albino. Sunny shares that his mom died giving birth, and Patina shares that she is adopted and her real mother's leg are cut off. Ghost shared that his dad is in jail because he shot at him and his mom. Ghost feels satisfied after he shares this because he feels connected to them in a way he didn't before.
