Ava, comes to school after Term 1 break, she saw her classmates in the school hallway. She wanted to make more friends and decided to say hello.

- Wow! It's Term 2...I want to make more friends! Oh! That is Sarah and Anna!
- Hey Sara! I want to tell you about..
- Hi Sara and Anna! How was your term break?
- Oh Ava! I was telling Sarah how I went to the beach
- I would like to broaden my circle of friends/ Can we hang out??
- Errr..ok
- As Ava returns from her term 1 break she sees her classmates Sarah and Anna chatting away.
- Shall we walk to PDHPE lesson together???
- errr..ummmooookaaay?I
- Ava always wanted to make new friends so she decided to approach the girls and be friendly.
- Hey girls! Come on hurry let's go.
- Who does she think she is??
- Ava asked if she could hang out with Anna and Sara but they girls seemed about relucant.

- Ava suggested if she could walk with them to PDHPE lesson, the girls seemed a bitreluctant but they said alright.

- Ava was walking happily thinking that her friends were happy with this friendship, however they were so keen.
- Let me fill up this water bottle for my new found bestfriend, Anna!!I am so happy that I made new friends!

- What are we going to with Ava?!! She is so annoying! Look at her so small, ugly and dumb!!! and wants to hang out with cool girls like us!!

- Anna asked Ava to fill up her water bottle for her so that she could make use of Ava. Ava was just being obedient.
- Ava was very elated that she could help her friend Anna top- up her water bottle.
- Sarah and Anna didn't wait for Ava. The topping- up the water bottle was just an excuse to run away from Ava. They didn't want Ava to join them in the first place. They thought Ava was uncool and nerdy. They were going to the classroom and saying mean stuff about Ava.

- Sarah and Anna saw Jen. They were happily greeting each other and talking about their holidays. They completely forgot about Ava who was helping them top up their water bottle
- Did I hear right?? Ava!! Talking bad about me? I am so sad!!!

- Apparently Jen was the one who spread those nasty rumours about Ava. Sara and Anna was laughing about the nasty rumours about Ava.
- I heard my bestie Jen saying nasty things about me to Sarah and Anna! I am so shocked!

- As they were bad mouthing Ava, Ava walked in and heard their conversation.
- Don't cry Ava! You could have heard some wrongly. Why not just as Jen since she is your friend.
- Ava was very upset and couldn't believe what she just heard from her so- called friends.
- err..Jen, I overheard what Sara, Anna and you were talking about me!
- Ava was crying when her classmate Laya walked by. Laya was concerned and asked her what happened. Ava told her what she heard them talking about her and how disappointed and hurt she was.
- How could you say that?? I thought we were good friends!
- Laya told Ava not to jump to conclusion, instead clarify the matter with the Jen and the girls.
- Well.. it's true Laya! They don't like me and said mean things about me.
- What they said is not nice! That is not polite. I think you should tell Ms Jade!
- Ava went to clarify with her friends as she thought she might have heard the wrong things. She wad confused and sad.
- oh well! since you heard, I will tell you that I am just making use of you!!
- You are ugly, short and not smart enough to hang out with us
- What Ava heard was true! She couldn't believe Jen would make use of her like a slave. Sara and Anna made fun of her. ava was shattered
- Go away! don't sit with us anymore you shorty!!

- Ava walks away from her classmates and is sad. Laya, asks her what happened? If she found out the truth?
- What is wrong Ava? Why are you crying? You want to talk about it?
- I overheard Jen, Sara and Anna saying mean things about me! They said that I am short, ugly and stupid!!
- Oh! That is not nice of them to say that. It is discrimination. I will speak to them
- Ms Jade, the teacher was wondering why was Ava upset? Ava is a nice and polite girl and she was wondering what was wrong?
- Yes Ms, we don't like her! She is not cool. We don't want to hang out with her
- I heard from Ava , that you girls were not nice to her? Is that true?
- Ms Jade approached Ava and asked her what happened. Why was she crying and asked if she wants to talk about it.
- We are so sorry Ava! We shouldn't have said those mean things about you.
- We should not discriminate anyone regardless of how they look or how smart they are? I am giving you girls a stern warning! Aplogise to Ava
- Ava told Ms Jade what happened. What she overheard from the girls and how they were calling her names. Ms Jade said that is discrimination and and she would speak to them.
- Let's hang out together. We realise our mistakes
- Oh Wow, I accept your apologises and let's all be good friends
- Ms Jade confronted the girls if they said mean discriminative things about Ava.
- Ms Jade said that they were discriminating Ava and that is not right. Everyone needs to be treated equally. She gave them a strict warning and asked them to apologise to Ava.
- Ava accepted their apology and they learned their lesson by not discriminating others for who they are. They all got to know each other better and became real friends.
