- Excellent question Janet! Depends on who you ask, but humanism is more alike to religion than you think.

- I guess Communism could be considered a religion based off that both follow laws created by a superhuman.
- In addition, you can relate Communism to religion. Communism like many religions followed a superhuman order of natural immutable laws that guides human actions. Those laws created by Karl Marx and were spread. Like Buddhism Islam, both have humans rules values based on belief of a superhuman's value

- For instance, Humanism believes that Homo sapiens have a unique sacred nature dividing them from other species. One such as liberal humanism that each individual gives meaning to the world. Its rule is to protect the freedom of each Homo sapien.
- That's why many liberals despise human torture the death row they want to honor human nature. Humanism might worship humans, but it's also built of monotheistic foundations
