Fire Ants are an invasive species that can be found in tropical grasslands like the African Savanna.Despite being tiny, the Fire Ant has a significant impact on the savanna environment. Because it is not a native species, fire ants frequently supplant native ant species and, by eradicating other arthropods, drastically alter the food chain in their biomes. It frequently consumes plants that are necessary to other species, breaking apart their mutualism. With its bite, the fire ant can harm elephants and big predators on the savanna in addition to humans. In addition, by harming organisms or interfering with their food sources, the invading ant decreases biodiversity among species.
