  • This poem stood out to me because it talks about beliving in various things that Jaquelin belives in, although some of them directly contridict each other, that have formed her opinion and who she is today. I can connect to this poem because it shows that you can have your own opinion that holds different parts of other people's opinions, but it can still be your own. It also shows different sides to the world and it shows different outlooks. I like how it talks about belife in 'a wonderful place called Now' because I see that as saying that although the past and future are important, you sometimes have to slow down and recognise the beauty of what's around you. Over all, I found it moving that Jacquelin is so open to new input, and understands different points of vew. I thing that this is important if you want to be a writer, so that you can connect with your readers on a more personaly level.
