- Why would you leave us with nothing?!

- We rightfully own this as patricians!
- Maintaining a stable Republic was not easy for the Romans to do. They fell short in many ways when it came to having a balanced system.
- The fall of The Roman Republic was set off by the unequal distribution of wealth. This greatly impacted the soldiers when they came home from war and had nothing left to live off of.
- WE DESERVE RIGHTS, THEY TOOK OUR LAND!
- Quiet fellow, you have no place to speak
- As soon as the soldiers came home, many found their farms in ruins and were forced to sell them to wealthy Patricians which only created a greater wealth gap. After being stripped of their belongings and rights, tensions between the rich and them began to grow.
- You stole it from us!
- Not only did they buy out the soldiers' land, but they also overcharged the state, making the taxpayers pay the bill.
- Due to the rising tension between social classes, came the birth of two political parties. One being the Optimates which was favored by the commoners.
