- Charles walks to Boscobel house where secret Catholics lived. Charles was forced to hide in an oak tree whilst Parliament soldiers were searching for him (they were offering a reward of £1000
- He ran to Mosley old haul were he could finally rest
- Later on the man who recognised Charles tells a parliamentary soldier. A troop of cavalry are on Charles’ trail
- Later that day, at Bromsgrove, the horse lost a shoe and Charles was forced to take the horse to a blacksmith
- Charles army was forced to retreat at the battle of Worcester
