- Darry & Soda take care of Ponyboy 
- Darry and ponyboy's relationship at the beginning of the book was very loose and not strong. Darry yelled at ponyboy a lot and made ponyboy not wanted in the house with Darry and Sodapop. "I didn't mean to. I pleaded with Darry. I was talking to johnny and we both dropped off..." I shouted. Darry wheeled around and slapped me so hard that it knocked me against the door."
- after the hospital 
- In the middle of the book, Darry and ponyboy's relationship got stronger, but ponyboy was still not already in a way. ponyboy was at the hospital after the fire, Darry and Soda came to see him and Darry started to cry and said " oh pony, I thought we'd lost you... like we did mom and dad..." Here, in this scene, Darry did care for ponyboy a lot. 
- Ponyboy is sick 
-  In this scene, Darry is taking in Ponyboy because Ponyboy is sleeping and doesn't want to get upz. Darry is stepping up and taking his Ponyboy and Darry Just needs to talk more and work things out between each other. Darry loves his brother and just wants to keep him safe. "I guess Derry was tired of fooling around because he picked me up and carried me in." 
- power in the scenes 
- In this scene Johnny is dead and Ponyboy comes home and says that Johnny died. Ponyboy walks into the house and Darry asks what's wrong, Ponyboy finally says that Johnny died, and then Darry asks if you sit cuz he looks sick. "Ponyboy, what's the matter? I looked at all of them, a little friend. Johnny ... He's dead"'...Dairy took a step toward me but I backed away"... 
- At the end of the book, Darry and Ponyboy Had a stronger relationship, and Ponyboy felt like Darry really did love him and cared for him and just didn't want to lose him, and Ponyboy just didn't understand that. Ponyboy in the scene was sick and was delirious for a few days, and dairy was taking care of him very well. "I'm okay. Just a little hungry. I should think you would be, Dairy said. You wouldn't eat anything most of the time you were sick. How do you like some mushroom soup?."
-    In the first scene, Darry has all the power because he has the guts to slap his own kid brother. In the second scene, no one really has the power but it would still be Darry. In the third scene, Darry has the power still because He is taking care of Everyone right now by taking Ponyboy inside to go to sleep. In the fourth scene, I would say Ponyboy has power because he has the urge to tell Darry to back away and stop.In the fifth scene, Darry has all the power because he's watching after his kid brothers and making sure that they stay healthy.
