- Ponyboy is a 14 yr old orphan with his two older brothers, Darrel, and Soda he's a part of a gang called the greasers aka the east side of town, along with the rest of the gang, Dallas, Two-Bit, Steve, and Johnny, And their rival gang are the socs who are the west sideboth gangs hate each other he was walking home from the movies while he gets followed by a red Corvair
- CLIMAX
- When Ponyboy is walking home he gets jumped by the socs that were in the red Covair that were following him they jump him,
- FALLING ACTION
- Johnny, pony, and dally go to a movie theater, and dally harasses a girl named cherry valance, Johnny tells him to stop, and dally gets angry and leaves, two-bit comes, and pony and cherry get sodas for two-bit, Marcia and Johnny, after they leave a mustang pulls up its cherry, and Marcias boyfriends, they leave in the mustang, two-bit leaves, pony and Johnny go to an empty lot talk, accidentally fall sleep wake up at 2:00,AM pony goes home Darry gets in an argument with pony Darry slaps pony, pony leaves and runs with Johnny to a park
- RESOLUTION
- When at the park Pony and johnny encounter Cherry and Marcias, Drunk boyfriends and other socs pull up and are mad at Pony and johnny and start drowning pony and johnny gets pushed away and johnny gets scared ponys gonna die so johnny, pulls out a switchblade and kills Bob cherrys boyfriend
- a bit later pony wakes up they go to dally for help dally gives them a jacket, gun, 50$, and a location of a church to hide they go on a train to the church go to the church hideout Johnny buys supplies, they get there hair cut, and pony has his hair bleached, dally comes, they go to Dairy Queen, they come back to the church it's on fire there's a school picnic some kids are Inside, Johnny and pony go in to save them, they escape pony passes out from being on fire then getting smacked, Johnny gets injured from a wood beam falling on him, and dally is injured. they go to a hospital, pony and dally recover, them and the rest of the greasers win the rumble with the socs Johnny dies, dally kills himself by robbing a store and getting killed by police, by rasing a gun up,
- the socs left alone the greasers they go to court Johnny was guilty of manslaughter pony gets questioned about at-home life pony still is staying with his brothers after the case the gang get over Dally and Johnnys death, and pony gets an idea for his project
