- They begin a passionate relationship not until it gradually fades and turn into a hot and cold relationship.
- Alfredo Sitting quietly in his room,
- I wonder if she even realize how confused she make me feel
- There was a man named Alfredo Salazar who believes in true love and hopes to find complete happiness in its awake. The first woman he falls in love with is Esperanza. She's a woman of extreme beauty, charm and wit. The couple have been engaged for four years. In fact, their partnership is considered ideal by many.
- It all started when Alfredo come with his father to do some neighboring to judge Del Valle.
- Don Julian, who is Alfredo Salazar’s father and Carmen, Alfredo’s sister are chatting with each other about the continuing relationship of Esperanza and Alfredo that seems slowly ready to fades as time goes by. They notice the big changes about their affection to each other .

- Alfredo started to remember those times he spent the day with Julia Salas.
- Years later, Alfredo's profession called for him to go to the town where Julia lives.
- He met Julia Salas that appears their neighbors sister-in-law. Julia was just a visitor on that town and been there for about only six weeks. As they first met, theyalready found good company between themselves.As their new friendship grew, Alfredo truly found new happiness and starts to fall for her as she is his interests.
- Esperanza confronted him to stop the wedding but for the sake of their families, Alfredo married Esperanza even though his heart was already taken by Julia.
- During all his years of married life to Esperanza he had come to a closure after meeting Julia. At that point he realizes that something is not the same after all and he is no longer in love with her. He accepts the difficult reality that anything that they had before totally gone. Alfredo then understood that he had been looking up into a dead star all along.
