- Heffrey Parr, a popular makeup enthusiast and fashion icon, just signed a contract with a high-end makeup company. What he doesn't know is that he will make one of the worst decisions of his life by making a discriminatory and controversial joke on an online social media platform.

- Recent post by fashion icon Heffrey enrages the community
- The first few people that see his post share it with others and now see his true colours and his broken emotional labour. With cooperation, this post is then shared within small communities and continued to spread widely through mediated interactions.
- Lose your Career
- I'm sorry to say this but we're terminating your contract
- Through mediated interactions, a diverse amount of young patrons find out about the controversial remarks made by Heffrey and respond to his post. The responses to Heffrey's post were as equally hateful towards him as his post, wondering why the foolish icon has been accepted into the beauty industry.

- News outlets jump in on the controversy bandwagon and spread news reports for a wider audience. News brought attention to the audience and information about the famous influencer and his mistake in role distancing.
- Just signed with the high end company Modify, we await an update on his career
- Heffrey is then called down to the head of the office of his partnered company called Modify, a well-known and large company that sells high-quality makeup products. He is then told that he'll go through a formal punishment and his contract will be terminated because of recent public exposure that has ruined his status and the company's reputation.
- What?! Seriously?!
- Devastated by the outcome of his actions, Heffrey deletes his horrible and widespread post, and posts and apology. Though through his efforts, the response to his apology was not as equally apologetic, saying that an internet apology is not enough to be forgiven for his actions. Heffrey lost his contract with one of the biggest companies in the makeup industry, and his audience and followers.
