- finally i have arrived to the science lab lets get back to topic . 1,PURE SUBSTANCES . It is a substance made up of one particle .2, MIXTURE . It is made up of two or more pure substances mixed together .
- Separating solids from solids . 1. HAND PICKING : Hand picking involves picking out substance by hand and separating them from others2. THRESHING : Threshing is the process of separating grain from the harvested stalks . 3. WINNOWING: This method of separation is called winnowing .4. SIEVING: It is the process of separatingcomponents of a mixture on basis of their particle size .5. MAGNETIC SEPARATION : Magnetic separation is the process separation by using a magnet .

SEDIMENTATION: The process of settling down heavier, insoluble components is known as sedimentation .The settled heavier substance is called sediments The clear liquid floating is called supernatants2. DECANTATION: The separation of super latent is known as decantation .3. FILTERATION: The separation of insoluble components from the mixture using filter paper or muslin cloth .
