Cesario and the Duke have a conversation about love, and Cesario suggests that the Duke should stop pursuing someone who doesn't love them back. The Duke doesn't agree with Cesario and makes his intentions clear about continuing to pursue Olivia.
Malvolio finds the letter Maria planted and believes that Olivia is in love with him. Toby, Andre and Fabian are lurking in the background, watching the events unfold and are happy that Maria's plan was successful.
