  • This is the planning of operation overlord. The troops would fly in from the sky and take the bridges. The solders would also put out tank props to trick the Germans.

  • Here is the planning phase of operation overlord. Here, they have mannequins and inflatable tanks to confuse the Germans.

  • The battle of Omaha beach was the most popular battle of operation Overlord. But was also one of the most deadly. Omaha beach was also taken by the Allied powers.

  • Here is Juno beach. Juno beach is located in Normandy, France. Juno beach was stormed by the Canadian army, as part of the allied powers. After numerous hours of fighting, the Canadians were able to take the beach.
  • MEDIC!
  • Once the Canadian armed forces (and other forces) were able to take over beaches and bridges, they sent in the reinforcements to take over the cities.
  • The effects on operation Overlord were substantial. This was one of the main causes of why the allied powers won the war.
