- אֲבָ֕ל אֲדֹנֵ֥ינוּ הַמֶּֽלֶךְ־דָּוִ֖ד הִמְלִ֥יךְ אֶת־שְׁלֹמֹֽה׃
- Everyone goes down to the river, and they go with either the archers and slingers, or the urim vitumim. Tzadok takes the oil and anoints Shlomo, and blow the Shofar. Everyone says long live the king!
- The whole nation follows after Shlomo and play flutes and the earth almost broke from all the noise.
- Adoniyahu and all his guests hear noise, and Yoav hears the shofar, and he says, why is there so much noise? Yonatan the son of Avyasar comes, and Adoniyahu saya, come! you are a good person, so you must have good news!, because good people try to bring good news. Yonatan says, but our master Dovid has anointed Shlomo! He says but to show that he doesn't have good news. Dovid sent Tzadok, Natan, and Biniyahu and they rode him on Dovid's mule. Now everyone is celebrating, so that's why there is so much noise.
- Shlomo sat on the royal throne, and all the servants of Dovid went to bless him and they said Shlomo's rein should be better than Dovid's. When they say this, Dovid bows to Hashem and says amen. Dovid also says Baruch Hashem that I am able to see my son ruling!. They trembles, and everyone got up and scattered.
- Adoniyahu was scared, so he went and held on to the corners of the Mizbeach. He does this because 1)Shlomo won't kill him in a holy place 2) He is planning to stay until Shlomo promises not to kill him. Shlomo heard about this, and Adoniyahu says let me go today! because on a kings coronation day, they often let sins go on that day. This is like when Shimi ben Gera went to Dovid and told him not to kill him. Shlomo says if you become good, I won't harm you, but if you do one bad thing, he will die. Soldiers take Adoniyahu off the Mizbeach and he bows to Shlomo and says thank you. Shlomo tells him to go home.
