Storyboard Text

  • Getting to the harbor was more difficult than finding where her friend was. Jane helped a girl that came from close to where the collapse had happened and gave her some oxygen.
  • Jane and Vanessa planned to get in an ambulance to go to the hospital when they got to the other side of the Hudson, and get information on her other friends.
  • Once they got to the hospital they got their injuries treated, and jane called their friends to make sure they were alright and out of danger.
  • So far about 300 firefighters had been declared dead with about 2500 civilians. None of the passengers on the flights survived. There is estimated 1.8 million tons of wreckage which will take months to clean up.
  • In New York, the Twin Towers were attacked byterrorists on planes and collapsed before midday,other places attacked were the Pentagon and areported crash in Pennsylvania.

  • The survivors of today now valued life more and were lucky to escape to tell the story. All of Jane's friends were good with few injuries but what mattered was that they were alive. But this tragic day helped bring the people together and would continue to until the city was on its feet again.

  • The evacuation by water was declared one of the largest in history, evacuating 500,000 people. Today will forever be in the history books.
