Storyboard Text

  • A Manor House is a house that the Lord lived in and it held celebrations too. A church is where people went to worship what they believe in. The priest lived in a home very near the church, sometimes attached to the church. In the bake house, the baker's baked bread for the people in the community. Blacksmith made everything from furniture to weapons, to armor. The mill was used to grind grain into flour. It was powered by wind or water.
  • Roads were used for transportation on foot and trading routes. Forests were homes to many animals. The forest provided fuel and materials. A river provides the community's water. It also is where you would wash and dump your trash. A pasture provides animals with the nutrients they need and space to walk around. They can also hunt in the pasture and forest.
  • An orchard provides food for people, it also provides shade in the very hot months of the summer. It also might give people a feeling of peace and quiet. Wells were used to provide people with a reliable source of water. The rivers were not reliable to drink because everyone dumped trash and people bathed in it. Fallow fields have nothing in them beside soil and dirt so that the soil could get healthy again. Planted fields are used for agricultural farming purposes and growing crops.
