- The major cause of the Boston tea party is the "taxation without representation" and the American colonist thought it was very unfair.
- Major Event 2
- They're goal was to agitate against the tax on tea.
- Important Documents
- The American colonist begin protesting on the taxes they got on tea.
- Effect
- They then threw 342 crates\chest of tea into Boston harbor.
- On October 20, 1774, the First Continental Congress adopted the Articles of Association in response to the “Intolerable Acts” the British government had imposed on its subjects in the colonies.
- They passed the coercive acts which, closed Boston harbor until the tea lost in the sea was paid for.
