- The yanks are repairing the railroads bridge.

- A solider come's to Peyton Farquhar's house, asking him for a drink of water. The solider tells him about a railroad bridge. There is a lot of driftwood near the bridge that would catch fire in a instant. Peyton Farquhar ask were the bridge is.
- What?
- welcome home
- Turns out the solider was a spy and Peyton Farquhar were to be hanged on the bridge. He stared at driftwood, trying to forget his fate. As the time for his death comes near he wishes that he could free himself.
- Suddenly the rope breaks and he falls into the water. He starts drowning but he breaks free from the rope around his neck. He swims away and makes it to the shore. He starts making his may home by walking threw the forest.
- As he was walking in the forest, he found himself at is own home. He thought that he might have walked home while asleep. His wife came to greet him, but suddenly his neck started to really hurt and all he saw was white.
- Turns out he was dreaming all of that. Peyton Farquhar is dead.
- The end
