Storyboard Text

  • Exposition
  • Main Conflict
  • Rising Action
  • Setting: Yukon, Canada. The man starts out on a journey with only a slight awareness of how cold it really is. He is looking to make it to a camp near Henderson Creek.
  • Climax
  • In the Yukon, the man walks with a Husky at his heels. He journeys with very little winter essentials, causing him to freeze much quicker than most.
  • Falling Action
  • The man gets his legs wet, cursing his luck aloud. He now knows he will be delayed from his strict scedule. Soon enough, sheer panic starts to rise.
  • Resolution
  • The man was freezing and knew he had to build a fire. Unfortunatly, he made the mistake of building a fire directly under a spruce tree. The snow collapsed, putting out his fire. He was feeling desperate, desperate enough that he wanted to kill the dog and warm up inside of his body.
  • It began to get dark. The man knew he was unable to kill the dog with his bare hands so he gave up. He lies down in the snow and allows himself to freeze.
  • The man has floated off to a frosty death, his dog waits for a while, confused at the sight of a human sitting in the snow without a fire. Eventually the dog smells death and trots off towards camp.
